OPTION 1: Based on the 2003 International Performance Measurement & Verification (M&V) Protocol (IPMVP) Volume III: Concepts and Options for Determining Energy Savings in New Construction’s Option D:  Calibrated Simulation (Savings Estimation Method 2): a) Create and apply an M&V plan, The M&V period must span a minimum of one year after construction occupancy, b)  Offer solutions if the M&V does not save energy.
