CASE 2: Residential and Hospitality Projects Only
– Ban smoking indoors and within 25 feet of entryways, outdoor air intakes and operable windows, unless designated smoking areas designed to filter ETS are available.
– Weather-strip all building doors and windows to prevent ETS from outdoors and from designated rooms into the hallway.
– No more than 1.25 square inch leakage area/100 square feet of enclosure area is allowed.
-Acceptable test: sealing of residential units by a blower door test conducted in accordance with ANSI/ ASTM-E779-03, Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage Rate By Fan Pressurization.
